The MEAs are proud to announce “father of the Xbox” and entertainment industry leader Seamus Blackley as the opening address at its 2013 Mobile Excellence Awards. Blackley has collaborated technically with Bill Gates, creatively with Steven Spielberg, and has variously designed, programmed, produced and even written music for videogames over the span of his career. A former High Energy Physicist, Blackley was also the founding head of the videogame division of CAA and was responsible for closing hundreds of millions of dollars of console, PC, mobile, and cloud based video-game deals, representing the majority of well-known and leading game developers worldwide. Blackley is currently president and founder of Innovative Leisure, a studio formed by the legends of the arcade era, that produces new, unique games for mobile and social platforms.
